Transmission Service Agreement (TSA) has been signed between Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company and M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited for construction of 17 ultra high tension substations in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company handed over the relevant documents to M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure in the presence of Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chief Engineer, Incharge of Madhya Pradesh State Transmission Utility. Prior to this, the Bid Process Co-ordinator RECPDCL, appointed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, after completing the tender process, transferred the Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) to the lowest bidder M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited, Hyderabad.
On this occasion, Chief Engineer of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Ajay Srivastava, Mohan Dhoke of Madhya Pradesh State Transmission Utility, CGM Shailendra Janardan on behalf of Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company, Chief General Manager PS Hariharan on behalf of RECPDCL and M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited. Vice President Praveen Sharad Dixit and Company Secretary N Chandrakala and other senior officials were present.
Chief Engineer Sanjay Kulshrestha said that keeping minimum in tariff based competitive bidding, M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited has won this contract for construction of 17 ultra high tension substations for Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company, in which one of 400 KV, three of 220 KV. And 13 substations of 132 KV are included. The 17 substations include 10 in the central region and seven in the western region. M/s Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Limited got this tender after 59 rounds of e-reverse auction process. Adani Transmission Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India, Tata Power Company Limited and Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited were involved in the final round tender process.
In this package, state’s first 400 KV GIS substation in Mandideep industrial area of Bhopal, second 132/33 KV GIS substation HOD in Bhopal itself, Bisonikala in Hoshangabad district in Bhopal area, 220 KV in Shahpur in Betul district, 220 KV substation in Rajgarh district Chhapihera, Sodalpur in Harda district, Pathari and Bari in Raisen district, Jawarjod in Sehore district, 132 KV substation at Semrahat in Ashoknagar district, 132/33 KV GIS substation at Pithampur in Dhar district, 220 KV substation at Khargone, Ujjain 132/33 KV substations will be built at Bhatpachlana in the district, Pipalgaon in Khargone district, Dhodar in Ratlam district, Chobradhir in Dewas district, Ambaja in Alirajpur district.
After construction, the operation of these substations will be with M/s Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Limited for 35 years.
