
National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti took part in a ‘candle march’ taken out by youths against the JKSSB decision on Saturday evening. The youth took out this protest march against the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) giving the responsibility of conducting the online examination to a company blacklisted earlier.

Former Chief Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir Abdullah and Mufti took part separately in the protest organized in Kachhi Chawni area on Saturday evening. Significantly, the youth aspirants of government jobs have been protesting for the last three days against the decision of JKSSB, which has taken the service of Aptech for computer-based examination for recruitment in various government departments. The said company was blacklisted in the year 2019.
Abdullah was the first to participate in the ‘Candle March’ and a few minutes later Mehbooba also reached there. Mehbooba told reporters, “Jammu and Kashmir is facing high unemployment rate. Firstly, there are no jobs for the youth and when the recruitment process starts, it gets canceled after the scam comes to the fore.” He also condemned the police lathicharge on the protesting youth in Jammu.
