This yatra entered Rajasthan from Madhya Pradesh on Sunday evening. On Monday morning, the yatra started from Kali Talai in Jhalrapatan of Jhalawar and reached Bali Borda. After rest in the afternoon, after leaving Nahardi, it reached Chandrabhaga Crossroads and stopped for night rest at Sports Complex. Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Indian Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, several ministers and MLAs.
Monday was the 89th day of the yatra. It started from Kali Talai in Jhalrapatan, a rural area located on the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border. Rahul Gandhi started the journey at 6.10 am. The temperature at that time was 13 degree Celsius, but he was walking comfortably wearing a half-sleeved T-shirt and trousers (pyjama) with sports shoes, while other leaders and workers were seen in jackets.
During the march, Gandhi interacted with about six children and greeted the marchers by waving to them. He had morning tea at a dhaba.
During the yatra, former MP Raghuveer Meena fell down while trying to walk briskly and injured his hand. He was taken to the district hospital in Jhalawar in an ambulance.
