Center Rushes High Level Team To UP To Assess And Manage Dengue Situation In 3 Districts

The increasing number of dengue cases in some districts of UP has raised the concern of the central government. The Center has sent high-level teams to Firozabad, Agra and Etawah in Uttar Pradesh to deal with dengue. Let us tell you, the situation of dengue has worsened in Firozabad, Agra and Etawah of the state, where dengue cases are increasing continuously. In view of this, the central government has sent a 6-member team to these three places. This is an expert team of the Central Government which will assist in dealing with Dengue along with the officials of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Let us tell you, last year too, the situation in these areas had worsened due to dengue, due to which many people lost their lives.

This 6 member team of Central Government for UP includes experts from National Center for Disease Control, National Center for Vector Borne Diseases Control and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. This team will work closely with the team of state health departments. Along with taking stock of the ground situation, it will give necessary advice in view of the increasing cases of dengue.

It is worth mentioning that UP Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak had said last week about the increasing cases of dengue that the government runs communicable diseases campaign thrice a year. Mosquito borne disease has decreased due to this campaign, but dengue patients have increased here since few days. Talking to reporters at the Circuit House here, Pathak said, “We have directed the Director General of Health to conduct tests in the localities from where dengue cases are coming and medical officers to admit such patients if needed and in every government hospital.” Work towards tackling dengue by reserving 10-10 beds.”
