The Finance Minister said that domestic applications for patents are increasing.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said here on Sunday that the central government is making efforts to further reduce the time for approval of applications filed for patents, which has already been reduced from 72 months to 12 to 24 months. He said at a function here that domestic applications for patents are increasing and in 2021, a total of 58,502 applications were made, while 28,391 were approved.
