In Meerut, the police on Monday attached a property worth about Rs 6 crore belonging to cattle smuggler Akbar Banjara on the orders of the court. The officers provided this information. A police officer said that before the action a notice was also pasted outside the concerned Kothi. According to the officials, Nauchandi was booked under Section 14(1) of the Gangster Act on Monday in the presence of the jurisdictional officer (Mawana) and Naib Tehsildar (Sadar Meerut). Banjara’s property was attached in Shastri Nagar of police station area.
