More than four thousand kg of banned firecrackers have been seized after raiding a warehouse in Farrukhnagar area in Gurugram, Haryana. The police gave this information on Sunday. According to the police, a team of Farrukhnagar police station under the leadership of Inspector Jitendra Kumar raided a warehouse named ‘Vashisht and Company’ on a six-acre land near Daboda village on Saturday night. The godown had 10 rooms and eight of them were being used to store banned firecrackers, weighing 4,235 kg.

Police said some other rooms had green crackers, for which the owner of the warehouse, Anand Vashisht, had a license. Raids were conducted in the presence of Farrukhnagar Tehsildar Duty Magistrate Sajjan Kumar and firecrackers were confiscated. Police Inspector Jitendra Kumar said, “An FIR has been registered against the godown owner who is a native of Delhi and the matter is being investigated. The accused will be arrested soon.”
