Seeing the plight of potato farmers, the Uttar Pradesh government has made a big announcement. The Uttar Pradesh government will buy potatoes at the rate of Rs 650 per quintal. In the first phase, instructions have been given to start purchase by setting up potato purchase centers in seven districts i.e. Farrukhabad, Kaushambi, Unnao, Mainpuri, Etah, Kasganj and Bareilly.
